Thawing the Turkey

Place the frozen Turkey in the refrigerator. The turkey should be kept in its original wrapper or transfered to a clean enclosed new wrapper during the thawing process. Place on a plate or baking dish to catch any juices that may leak from the package. It may take several days depending on the size of the bird but this is the safest method. Allow up to 5 hours for 500 grams. This all depends on the settings in the refrigerator.
4kg - 5.5 kg frozen turkey - Allow 1-2 days
5.5kg - 7kg frozen turkey - Allow 2-3 days
